about

we were all africans before we became anything else.

54siblings is a vibrant collective of emerging african artists, dedicated to showcasing the rich diversity and creativity of the african continent. “54” represents the countries that were split up, and our community reconnects the african diaspora, helping artists bridge cultures, tell stories, and inspire change.

what we do goes beyond showcasing art—we empower artists, with a special focus on youth and women. our initiatives include project funding and production assistance, skills training, and access to a supportive community of peers and industry professionals. we connect african and caribbean artists with global markets and networks to drive sales and secure commissioned work, helping them expand their reach and impact.

54siblings operates active hubs in key cultural centers across the globe, including lagos and abuja in nigeria, barbados, jamaica, nairobi, peru, brooklyn, and atlanta. we work closely with colleges, art schools, and community centers to nurture and empower the next generation of artists. these hubs serve as dynamic spaces for collaboration, learning, and the celebration of african art.

we are part of the birthright project fellows program, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit registered in the united states. we explore the power of art and technology to drive equity, health, and wellbeing. through exhibitions, mentorship, and community engagement, we aim to elevate african art and make it accessible to everyone.

we recognize that each sibling in our collective brings a distinct voice and vision to the table.

together, we are redefining the narrative of african art, one piece at a time.
