Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead research with industry experts and potential customers
  • Define overall business strategy and plan for the new company

Join our team for a 4-month fully remote internship focusing on emerging themes in tech, arts, health, social impact, and economic empowerment in Africa and the Caribbean.

Responsibilities

  • Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research; Analyze and synthesize findings for insightful articles.
  • Article Writing and Content Creation: Craft engaging and accurate articles; Collaborate on content strategies and trends.
  • Interviewing and Relationship Building: Conduct interviews with experts and document outputs.
  • Social Media platforms management and Communications: Manage social media strategy and content; Contribute to communication strategies.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing/recently completed a relevant bachelor’s degree.

Job Description: As the Partnerships Manager, you will spearhead the development of our partnership network in East Africa, driving growth and supporting the objectives of our social enterprises. You will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with key partners. This role is available for candidates in Nairobi or remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a robust partnership strategy tailored for the East African market.
  • Scout and secure new partnerships, managing the entire process from initiation to deal closure.
  • Maintain and enrich existing partner relationships, ensuring alignment and mutual benefit.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure partnership alignment with business strategies.
  • Analyze market trends and provide strategic insights to guide business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in partnership management or business development, with a focus on East Africa.
  • Established network and deep understanding of the East African market.
